About Zapier Integration
Connect Giftnote to thousands of apps with Zapier. Use gifting events to trigger automations across your CRM, spreadsheets, messaging, and internal tools — no code required.
Whenever a gift is created, delivered, or redeemed, Zapier can fan that signal out to wherever your team needs it.
How to Get Started
Connect Zapier to Giftnote in just a few steps
Confirm your Giftnote Shopify Flow triggers are available
Giftnote exposes these Shopify Flow triggers: "Order Message created", "Order Message delivered", "Store Credit issued", "Gift card created", "Gift card message created", "Gift card message delivered", plus a store-credit issuance action. These are the real, documented hooks any automation must start from.
Create a Zapier "Catch Hook" webhook trigger
In Zapier, add a new Zap, choose "Webhooks by Zapier" as the trigger app, and select the "Catch Hook" event. Zapier generates a unique receiving URL (format https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/XXXXX/YYYYY/) that only changes if the Zap is transferred to another user.
Build a Shopify Flow workflow that sends the Giftnote event to that URL
Start a new Shopify Flow workflow from a Giftnote trigger (e.g. Order Message delivered or Gift card created), then add Shopify Flow's native "Send HTTP request" action, setting the HTTP method to POST and the URL to the Zapier Catch Hook URL copied in the previous step.
Continue the Zap into any downstream app
Once the webhook fires, Zapier parses the request body from the Giftnote/Shopify Flow payload and makes those fields available to subsequent Zap steps, which can route the event into any of Zapier's connected apps (CRM, spreadsheet, Slack, etc.).
