Start a Shopify Flow workflow on a Giftnote gifting event
In Shopify Flow, create a workflow that triggers on a Giftnote event. Giftnote's Shopify Flow article lists six real trigger names: Order Message created, Order Message delivered, Store Credit issued, Gift card created, Gift card message created, and Gift card message delivered. The four named in this step (Store Credit issued, Order Message delivered, Gift card message delivered, Gift card created) are all confirmed real trigger names.
Add a "Send HTTP request" action to POST the event to a webhook URL
Shopify Flow has a native "Send HTTP request" action that connects the workflow to a server/URL. It supports setting the HTTP Method to POST, setting a Content-Type: application/json header, and sending a JSON body populated with workflow variables (Liquid-style, e.g. {{product.title}}) to a target URL. Note: this action requires a Shopify Plus, Advanced, or Grow plan.
Catch that webhook in a Zap
Zapier's "Webhooks by Zapier" app offers a "Catch Hook" trigger, confirmed as a real, listed trigger option on Zapier's Webhook+Ometria integrations page. Use it to catch the POST sent from the Shopify Flow action and generate a webhook URL to paste into that Flow action.
Create or update the gift recipient as an Ometria contact
Ometria's "Create or Update Contact" action is confirmed as a real, listed action on the same Zapier integrations page, described there as: "Creates or updates an existing contact in Ometria." Map the webhook payload's email (plus name/custom fields if present) into this action so the gift recipient/sender becomes an Ometria contact.
