Presque Isle Farm Cider's Thunder Bay Sanctuary is a cider that pays homage to the U.S. National Marine sanctuary by the same name that protects over 100 shipwrecked vessels off the shores of nearby Lake Huron. The cider is made with a blend of Michigan heirloom apples, fermented with native yeast, and aged in bourbon barrels.
A fun, easy drinking cider. Vinous aromas of green apple, Smartee candy, and orange creamsicle. It drinks off-dry to semi-dry with medium acidity and subdued tannins. Flavor notes of tart, green apple with subtle barrel notes of wood and light vanilla. A rush of juicy acidity comes and goes quick, leaving behind a fun green apple and vanilla dance party. Tastes like it was softly washed in a barrel. A mouthwatering salinity begs you to take another sip.
About PIF Cider: Presque Isle Farm (pronounced: Preh-sk Aisle) is a fantastic cidermaker from Northern Michigan. Located on the shores of Lake Huron in the Northeast corner of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, PIF is a labor of love owned & operated by Dion & Molly Stepanski - partners in business and in life. The cidery was launched as an extension of their growing organic farm in Alpena, Michigan.
