Le Pere Jules Cidre de Normandie is a traditionally made French cider made with a blend of cider apples grown on the family's estate farm. The same blend of cider is used to make their Brut, Demi-Sec, and Cidre Doux. The difference in each cider is how long it's allowed to ferment before racking and bottling. The Cidre Brut (dry) ferments the longest, resulting in a drier cider with less residual sugar and slightly higher alcohol by volume. The Demi-Sec (medium-sweetness, drinks semi-dry) and Cidre Doux (sweet) have their fermentation naturally halted prior to fermenting dry and are naturally a bit sweeter and lower in alcohol than the Brut. Each of these ciders are rich in French cider characters, and tasting the difference between them shows how beautiful tannins and sweetness can interplay in a fine cider.
Le Pere Jules Poire de Normandie is a French Perry, made 100% from a blend of perry pears grown on the family's estate orchard.
