Gerovassiliou Malagousia 2024 is a stunning white wine that rescued a rare grape from being lost forever. Winemaker Vangelis Gerovassiliou single handedly saved the Malagousia grape to create this world class bottling in Epanomi, Greece. It stands out easily against standard commercial white wines, recently earning top honors at the largest global wine competition.

The sustainable estate sits on sandy soils packed with clay and limestone. After a careful harvest, the winemaking team cools the grapes to pull rich aromas from the skins. Most of the juice ferments in stainless steel tanks to keep the fruit bright and fresh. A small portion ferments in French oak barrels to add complex depth. The wine then rests on its fine lees for several months. This traditional method builds a beautiful texture and a round body.

In the glass, the wine glows with a bright straw color and green highlights. The aroma is highly complex and inviting. Drinkers will find lush notes of ripe pear, mango, and pineapple mixed with fresh jasmine and rose petals. On the palate, it delivers a rich and appealing texture.
