About this gift
100% Organic cotton flour sack towels that are hand dyed with regionally grown indigo using a modern Shibori technique. These towels only get softer with use.
Each towel measures approximately 28"x28", have been pre-washed, and are colorfast. Because each piece is dyed individually and is unique, the patterns will vary by product.
ABOUT INDIGO ROOTS TEXTILES
Kristen Barnett is a textile artist from Greenville, South Carolina. Sitting at her grandmother and mother's feet, Kristen developed a love for textiles and design. She received her first sewing machine, a battery operated Holly Hobby machine, at the age of 4. Her love of hand dying started about the same age as she watched her eldest sister gather food waste (onion skins, beet skins) to dye cornhusks for corn husk dolls.
