Wire Works Whisky Port Cask whisky is a core lightly-peated house style single malt spirit, aged in both fresh Tawny Port barriques, and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. The result is a complex whisky with a rich oily texture and a bold, vibrant fruit profile both from the single malt spirit and the port oak. Bottled at 50.2% Alc.
TASTING NOTES
Overview: Cinder toffee, demerara sugar, strawberry laces on the nose, with flavours of vanilla fudge, milk chocolate, marzipan, and cherry pie filling on the palate.
Nose: Bakewell pudding, milk chocolate, cinder toffee, burnt sugar, cinnamon buns, liquorice all sorts, cherry lozenges, toasted almond, candied ginger, strawberry jam.
