Turning Gifting into Revenue: Anyday's Success with Giftnote

Challenging the perception that microwaves are only for reheating leftovers, Anyday showcases the microwave’s potential to create restaurant-quality dishes in a matter of minutes. 

Due to the brand’s gift appeal—Anyday sought to provide an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way to include custom gift notes to orders. However, they encountered obstacles in finding a way to do so without increasing shipping costs and generating waste.

Streamlining Anyday's Gifting Experience with Giftnote

After putting the idea on hold for two years, they discovered Giftnote and were impressed with its ease of use and seamless integration into their Shopify checkout page. 

They implemented digital gift notes in less than a week, providing their customers with a user-friendly and hassle-free gifting experience during the holiday season.  Using Giftnote’s Klaviyo integration, Anyday sends an email (with the digital gift note) to the giftee at the precise moment their gift is delivered by the postal carrier.

Using Giftnote, Anyday discovered 86% of Gift recipients were previously unknown to the brand, presenting a huge opportunity for converting happy gift recipients into Customers. To capitalise on this, they  encourage an 'opt-in' from the giftee that aims to establish ongoing communication with the recipient via Klaviyo. Anyday is using this strategy’s potential to turn recipients into loyal customers.

To enable this, Anyday set up Klaviyo segments based on "Gift Recipient" and "Gift Sender". This presents a range of possibilities for future Klaviyo email and SMS marketing, as well as creating a targeted audience for paid media channels.

"We've seen the impact of Giftnote during Christmas and Black Friday, where we saw a 40% higher average order value for gift orders,” Lily said.

Lily said they haven't received any complaints about the gifting experience.

Anyday have been eagerly anticipating the launch of Giftnote's upcoming feature releases—with two specific goals in mind.
